How To Find Your Skoda Serial Number

Locating The Radio Label
Skoda serial numbers start with the letters “SKZ” and are 14 digits long, for example SKZAZ5L1562150. Please see the picture for reference.
If for some reason the label is damaged or unclear, the serial number is also pressed into the metal housing of the radio.

The removal of your Skoda Bolero radio is quite simple. You will need a flathead screwdriver and or a lifting tool to remove the panels from the dashboard. Once you have removed the surrounding panels, you may also need to remove the radio cover. There are 4 screws in each corner that you will need to remove as a final measure.
You do not need to disconnect any cables during this procedure.
On older models, you will need a radio release key to remove the radio.

How to get your skoda radio code
Obtaining your Skoda car radio activation code after power interruption, such as a battery replacement, can be done using an online code generator. Simply provide the radio unit’s serial number, which can be found on the back by partially removing it from the centre console, and the generator will provide the original 4-digit code that can be used whenever needed. This method is compatible with all Skoda car models and radio types, including Blaupunkt, Dance, Symphony, and Swing radios starting with the serial number prefix SKZ. This process can be applied to any Skoda car model, including Fabia and Octavia.
